Here is what is going on at the various breweries around the Province on April 30th, Open Brewery Day!


Wayfarers Ale – Come for supper and try our new menu and enjoy our beer specials! Put a team together and enjoy a fun night of trivia (brush up on your beer knowledge ) with prizes! Trivia will begin at 6 pm (allow approx. 2 hours to play) it includes 5 unique rounds to test your knowledge. Please book a table at

Paddy’s Brewpub – Paddy’s is 100% participating in the April 30th Open Brewery Day. We actually intend to use the event to kick off a month of celebrations of Paddy’s thirtieth anniversary – so it’s perfect timing!  We are going to:
– launch a couple of special beers for our thirtieth on that day
– have a craft beer themed trivia night that night
– have some craft beer-based food specials (to be determined by our chefs)

Good Robot – No Talent Show” (open Mic and stand-up comedy)

DO YOU HAVE A TALENT? WELL, WE DON’T WANT IT.  Are you sorta good at something? Do you have a funny party trick? Want to try stand-up for the first time? We’re looking at you, mediocre millennials – now is your time to shine at our No-Talent Show. On For Open Brewery Day, join us in the Mousetrap (located above the brewery) for the most average performances of your life. Registration is at 1pm, the Talent-less take the stage at 2pm and we’re wrapped up and continuing the day by 4pm. Extra excited to perform? Saltbox – At Saltbox we will have our brewer and cider maker available to walk people through product tastings, the brewing/cider process and ingredient experience.  And at King Street Beer we will running a brew so people can participate in that.

Lunns Mill – Lunn’s Mill on April 30th will be having a tour and a mini information session on the tools of the brewery which will include a run down of the processes involved, an invitation beyond the brewery doors to look at our brewhouse, fermenters and canning areas. 🙂 Maria (one of our brewery assistants) will be on site from noon to 6pm to help guide the curious through the world of craft brewing from grain to glass.

Two Islands Brewing – Chelsea Atkinson Live from 7:30-10:00 pm (poster attached) and brewery tours ongoing throughout the day on April 30th!

Boxing Rock – at our Taproom (218 Water Street Shelburne).  More details about our plan at our Halifax location coming soon.

Annapolis Brewing – planning on participating in open brewery day, this will be at our “new” production facility. We are planning tours and education session on the process of brewing. Guest will get a few samples at the brewery and a coupon to use at our retail location that day.  This will be from 12-4 at 109 Prince Albert Road, Annapolis Royal.

Tatamagouche Brewing – Music from 2-5 on April 30th with Happy Hour pricing!  We also have a mobile pizza truck, Kiln Crust Pizza Co joining us 1-6pm.  You seriously have to try this!

Garrison Brewing –  At our Seaport location we will have Verano Food Purveyors as our food vendor from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. We will also be serving up Micheladas all day long. We open at 10:00 am and close at 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 30th.

Candid Brewing – So excited to say we are hosting The Town Heroes at the taproom. Tickets are $20 and available on our website!

Big Spruce Brewing – Don’t miss the kitchen party at Big Spruce!  We are celebrating Open Brewery Day with local fiddle legend Rachel Davis, accompanied by Jason Roach from 2pm to 4pm. No tickets or reservations necessary. Free snacks will be available on our heated patio all day!  Get on your step dancin’ shoes and get ready to “step ‘er off”!

Truro Brewing Company –  Live music and releasing a special Braggot we made with Mountain Meadworks called “Radiance”. We will have giveaways with merchandise and bottles of this new Braggot!  What a great way to enjoy Open Brewery Day 2022!

Triders Brewery – Join our resident piano player, Paul Benton, in from 2-5 rocking jazz on the piano. You might be lucky enough to enjoy Joe Potter who will join in and he will gladly provide tasting notes.
