SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR FOR CRAFT BREWERS ASSOCIATION OF NOVA SCOTIA

Location: Remote

Term: Part Time – Contracted

Hours Per Week: 4-5 hours

Remuneration: 1,000 per month

Job Summary
Craft Brewers Association of Nova Scotia (CBANS) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will develop and implement engaging social media strategies that enhance our brand presence, as well as our members presence across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of social media and marketing trends, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze performance metrics to drive growth and engagement.  Some graphic design abilities would be an asset. 

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Develop, curate, and manage published content across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and potentially others.
  • Blog creation: The Social Media Coordinator will write blogs and repost content to drive engagement.
  • Community Management: Monitor social media channels for customer inquiries, comments, and feedback; respond in a timely manner to foster community engagement. Engage with member breweries and relevant accounts using an approved tone and voice.
  • Trend Monitoring: Conduct research on industry trends specific to the craft beer community, and identifying current social media trends and incorporating them into content strategies. 
  • Collaboration:  Align social media profiles and campaigns with overall marketing and business objectives of CBANS.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Benchmarking and analyzing performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, using data driven insights to adjust strategies accordingly moving forward.
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly Commitments: Daily, check all social media channels with timely responses to inquiries, with a bi-weekly report to Executive Director, Marketing Chair and monthly Committee meeting each month (Jan-June, September-December). 

Experience

  • Proven experience in managing social media accounts for brands or organizations.
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.)
  • Strong research skills with the ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
  • A background in graphic design is highly desirable to create compelling visual content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail.
